Deleting Files

Hi all
Its been sometime since I came in here to post although I have been reading the daily posts.
I have a strange problem on my Ipaq 2750.
It has 3 files, one being an ipaq backed-up file (ipaq bckup.pdb) that I no longer needed. Together they occupy about 10MB of my memory and I can't seem to delete them. The delete option is greyed out. When I activesync and tried to delete from my desktop, it reported file protected or in use.
Anyone can help?

Have you checked the file attributes to ensure Read Only and System were unchecked?
