Once again, we're told that this bugger will sport a 120GB HDD (or a 20GB / 40GB SSD), 802.11n WiFi and built-in 3.5G WWAN. As you can easily see, the U120 isn't too much different (style wise) from the U100, and unfortunately, it's not a whole lot thinner either. Still, the unit does look a bit more edgy, and hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more (read: in the wild) shots as December comes closer."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/dht/auto/1223588749.usr10.jpg" /></p><p>Nothing spectacular in the looks department, but as long as they keep the feature/performance/size/price ratio's in line, it should be a go.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Right now, my current laptop is an old Gateway 200STM. PIII 933mhz, 512mb of RAM, and a 20gb hard drive. The catch is that it weighs like 3 pounds, has a 12 inch screen, and practically came out of a garbage can.

If this old thing is keeping me happy, I don't see why I can't replace it with an MSI Wind when it konks out on me. I don't care if the screen is small, processing power isn't overly important to me, and if I can live with 20gb, 40 would feel huge.

I wonder how close my laptop and the MSI Wind are to each other as far as processing power goes?

Download a 720p WMV sample:

Does it play? It plays fine on every netbook I've tried with a 1.6 Ghz Atom CPU.
