So are laptops designed to self destruct or what?
The Mini PCI wireless card in my Gateway 200STM laptop started acting funny, it wouldn't connect to some networks, and I could never figure out why. A couple weeks later, it disappeared from the hardware list. I ordered a Linksys 802.11g Mini PCI card several weeks ago and it finally arrived. I popped it in this morning and it doesn't show up either.
I tried my Ubuntu Live CD, its not there either.
These unexplainable problems are getting really, REALLY old.
