Not Yet Ready To Become An HP Fan.

Last month I posted to a thread on this forum regarding a sale at Costco Wholesale on an HP Pavilion a6567c desktop bundled with an HP w2408h 24" LCD wide-screen monitor for $1,149.99 US. As a long time user of Dell systems, it was with some trepidation that I purchased the HP system. I then spent the better part of a week loading software and transferring files. Yesterday, one day short of one week, the mother board died. I returned the HP system to Costco and ordered a similar system from Dell. The Dell system is more expensive, but it will be worth it to me n the long run because I believe I'll have a more reliable system.

I'm not yet ready to become an HP fan.

Sorry to hear that. My HP a1357c blew up this weekend. Pulling the video card got it working again, but I'm not sure yet whether it was the card or the board. That said, it was working fine for 2 years before that, and the price was pretty much unbeatable.
