Zune Firmware Update

well i bought a zune some time ago, but haven't used it recently. i just wanted to know about updating its firmware (1.4 to 2.1). would updating my zune delete my previously added music, videos, and/or photos?

It's been a long time since I updated my Zune 30's to Zune 2.0, but I'm pretty sure it left all the content on there. :)
