Why can't we get the OS from MS directly?
I am fed up waiting for the Mfrer to release the Os for my device.
{Asus, 639N}

Makes no sense to me. I want the newest version but can't becuase they won't release it!

It might create more problems than its worth. The ROM that is shipped with your device only has the files & drivers that is need to run your specific device device. That is because the device manufactures tweak the OS & add what is needed for your device to run. Not that Microsoft could do this but WM seems to run a lot more stable compared to XP or Vista. I don't know what the solution is.

The solution is simple; Microsoft need an update mechanism in place like they have had on their desktop OS versions for years. Important file updates should be pushed to you when you connect over Activesync.

Driver updates or updates to the operator customization should be left to the vendor. We should NOT have to wait for MS to deliver a core OS to the vendor, then have them repackage things for their device, THEN have it all tested, THEN have it emailed to an operator who will release it sooner or later.
