I just ordered a sena case for my ipaq 211 and I just
realized something. THe case has a magnetic closeure
and well, doesn't the magnets affect data? I know
if you put magnets on the floppy's it can erase them
but does it have any affect on the pocket pc?

I assume SD memory cards could get damaged if you
put magnets on them, so theoretically speaking it
could, maybe erase or somehow effect the pocket pc?

I'm sure someone has thought about this before...

No worries. All the memory in your new PPC and flash cards is solid state memory, not magnetic memory. Even the screen is LCD and unaffected by magnetic fields. I've had SENA cases for years with the magnetic closures and never had a problem. I think you will really like the SENA's. I and my wife have always been very pleased with their quality.

Some cases do offer slots for a credit card or two, and I'm not sure I would trust those with the magnetic closures, but have not evidence one way or the other on that.

On a similar note, my PPCs have survived numerous trips through airport Xray machines, typically in a carry-on or a Scott E-Vest, so don't worry about that when it comes up.

I ditto Sven's comments. Not only does the magnet NOT affect the device adversely in any way, but Sena cases are top-notch, high-quality accessories. You won't regret paying a few dollars more than for the cases at BestBuy.
