Can you help us? We've been working on a protoype for using a vertical keyboard in landscape mode on Pocket PC-style devices. It's code name is "Johnny". Basically, we're trying to assess if Windows Mobile users would use something like this if it were available.

If you were to use "Johnny", the application in the foreground would be the same size in both landscape and portrait mode when the SIP was visible (240w x 188h pixels). We'd also be sure to allow it to appear on the right or left hand sides of the screen.
FYI --- The keyboard shown here is not the final layout. This is just a mockup to show the keyboard in a recognizable, visible state. If there is signifcant interest in "Johnny", we'll look to design an appropriate layout. If you're a keyboard layout specialist, feel free to let us know.
We've designed a survey located on our website. If you have a moment, please pop over and fill it out. There are only four questions, two of which are optional. Here's the link.
