Dash auto-deleting emails

Here is a strange one. My wife's dash will automatically delete from the device emails from the POP 3 account she uses. I watched it happen - sent an email, the device got it, and within 45 minutes of the phone lying on the counter it was gone.

It is set to "Delete from server on delete" and "keep last 3 deys of messages"

Is there some other setting I am missing. This same pop3 server for my account works fine in WM Professional, so it isn't the server acting up.
