I really want to win this one!

I'm going to be a new father this summer and my wife & I could use this software to create DVDs of our new daughter. The software can import all our video camera footage and allow us to make edits.

I'd also like to use it to create DVDs of TV shows (that I recorded with my Windows Media Center) so my wife or I can watch while we work out on the treadmill. (My gym has individual DVD players at every aerobic machine.) As a bonus, the software can eliminate commercials from the TV shows.

Probably the basics. Kid vids, vacations, etc.

Family videos. Kids really like it when I take some time to "re-mix" some footage with some different music and transitions.

Movies from my trips. I like to take hours of movies and then spend days to shrink them to 20 minutes.

I'm intrested in film-making and would probably try to make a movie if I won this.

I do alot of recording with my TV tuner card and need a great piece of software to convert the mpg's to dvd. I don't have alot of local disk space so I have the need to put everything I record onto DVD for future viewing.

Thanks....:)

Been meaning to back up lots of things like my kids birthdays and playing football. This sure would help that project out. A big one for the wife is to get the wedding video saved.

Mostly backuping movies/tv shows I have in a digital format on my harddrive. At some point, I'd like to get a digital camcorder (hopefully high-def), so I'll need some good software to back up all those home movies at that point.

I ride sportbikes (See my avatar? That's me!), and I'd use this software to burn ride videos captured from an onboard video camera.

Daughter is a budding photographer / videographer and is currently using an older and less powerful program for her class work. This would make a nice upgrade!

I have at least 80 hours of home movies that desperately need some cleaning up and burning to DVD. Might not sound like alot, but that's a bit of a project.

I've got a bunch of video from trips to Malta and Namibia that I'd really like to put into something presentable to show off to family and friends.

Using the "Ad-Zapper" on recorded TV Shows seems like a great functionality, then burning them to DVD's for future use

I'm off to Phoenix on a commercial pilot's course in May for the whole summer... with this I could get a video of the entire group's flying experience sorted.

My wife is the main photographer in the house, so she has GB's of pictures on her computer, and *hates* having to deal with getting everything to my Mac to do DVD slideshows .... this would be *perfect* for her to make DVD gifts for family and friends!

Like many here, I'd use it to create DVDs of family videos. With our kids having grandparents and great-grandparents, there's a lot of demand for pictures and video.

I'd whip up a few videos, get them in the hands of said grandparents and instantly become the 'best son-in-law' :D

I'd burn all sorts of videos - pets, family, vacations... (not that I have many vacations, but still...) :)
