Hi,
I looking to control a proprietary instrument, which connects via a serial port, from a PDA. From what I understand, most modern PDAs seem to eschew a serial port but I believe I can make it work with a Bluetooth-Serial adapter attached to the instrument. Does anybody have any experience with this? Is it reliable or a huge pain to do?
I was thinking of getting the HP iPAQ 110 to do this and I am developing the software for the instrument using the .NET CF. I got it working fine with the device emulator (and an actual serial cable, not Bluetooth) but now I need to show that it can work in a real device.
Any advice here would be most welcome.
Thanks!
