Hello,
Resco announces the release of a new product - Resco Backup for PocketPC. So far only as a BETA as we want to ask you for help with the testing.
Resco has extensive experience with backup problematic - mainly due to its very popular Palm OS backup.
The new product addresses the needs of different user groups:
Mainstream users will find simple interface (one-tap backup!), while the professionals get unique tools that will increase their productivity.
Main features in brief:
- Full/partial backup
- Incremental backup
- Full/partial restore
- Compression and encryption
- Scheduler
Advanced tools for power users:
- Ability to track changes since the last backup (Verify tool)
- Comparison of 2 backup sets
- Diff tool allows for partial backup/restore based on the comparison of the backup set vs. current device contents
- Backup profiles serve for things such as daily/weekly backups, separate backup of sensitive data (contacts, e-mails etc.)
- Due to the use of open standards, the users don't need any special tools to access backup sets on the desktop computers - any good zipper will do the work.
Reliability and security:
- Backup is treated like a transaction
- Integrity check discovers data corruption
- Use of industrial standard - AES encryption
- Possibility to double-check the backup results (Verify tool)
We are looking forward to your reports about Resco Backup. Of course, those of you who will contribute, will receive a free registration once the final release will appear.
More info:

14 days trial
$14.95
Supports WM5/WM6 (Smartphones unsupported)
Regards,
Michal Sartoris, Resco
