Ever since the IPAQ 4700 has retired, the IPAQ 2700 has been holding down the Fort. Now that the IPAQ 200 series is out, the true successor to the 4700 series, do you guys believe the 200 series is superior to the 2700 series? Keep in mind I am not so much focusing on the VGA vs. QVGA, it goes without saying that there is no comparison on this issue. Although both screens has the pros and cons. Thank you in advance and may God Bless You and Yours.

I'm of mixed minds on this. Since I've updated my hx4700 to WM6.1, there isn't any difference in OS functionality. There are a few things the 200 has over the hx4700 though:
* 802.11g (vs b) -- 54Mb/s is much nicer than 11.
* SDHC (vs SD only) -- allowing you to use 8GB and higher SDHC cards.
* standard USB connection -- You don't have to use that weird dongle thingy to charge the beasty and you can buy a sync/charge replacement cable virtually anywhere.
* standard directional/action buttons (instead of the touchpad) -- The hx4700 touchpad was an innovative idea, but it's just kinda difficult to use in practice, especially touching the center to get the action button.
* (slightly) improved processor -- the 200 will get better battery life and a bit better performance. It's not shockingly so; just a little better.

On the other hand, the hx4700 (in my opinion) is a little more aesthetically pleasing and (due to the magnesium shell) feels a bit more sturdy.

Well, since I have purchased my 211 I have been having a few
random lockups or freezes. I'm not sure what the problem might
be but I'm working with a few software makers to find out why
their applications don't seem to work on this model. I've had
several memory dumps it seems and corrupting applications.

The Flex mail guys seem to think it might be a bad memory issue,
but not sure yet.

So far,

Voice Command - Locks up
Journal bar
Flex mail 2007 and FM 4 seem to have issues. Journal bar does
work but cannot remember settings. Flex mail 07 and 04. At
this time do not install.

I wanted to mention that the IPAQ is not all bad. I've been using
them since they first arrived on the market, version after version
and I continue to come back to them.

The 211 does have flaws and badly requires a Flash 'N Fix soon. But
the battery does last awhile and I do love the screen.

My new SENA case arrived too and it's very nice. Originally purchased
one of e-bay for 20 bucks roughy and it was nice too, very soft, but
a little on the bulky side from carrymobile. The Sena case is nice and
thin, fits like a glove and all the buttoms are easy to access.
