Hi all,
I didn't see this posted anywhere. I've been checking the HP site every few days for the IPAQ 210. Yesterday, I noticed that they removed the "Coming in 2008," and the rep I chatted with said to expect it late February or March. Well, I checked back today and found that I can add it to my cart. A rep I chatted with today said that they're now available, much earlier than he expected. You can find the product page under the Small & Medium Business:
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/215348-215348-64929-314903-215384-3544499.html?jumpid=re_R295_prodexp/busproducts/computing-handheld/hp-ipaq-210-enterprise-handheld&psn=handhelds_and_calculators/handheld_pcs
When I added one to the basket and clicked to see what the check-out process would be, I got the following specs (note the biometric reader):
HP iPAQ 210 Enterprise Handheld FB040AA#ABA
HP iPAQ 210 Enterprise Handheld
Biometric fingerprint reader and HP ProtectTools secured by CREDANT Technologies, allows mobile professionals to easily secure their devices by using a PIN or password to control access, imposing industry-standard encryption to protect stored data.
Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 6.0 Classic Edition
Marvell PXA310, 624 Mhz
4.0" VGA 640 x 480 TFT with touch screen, 260 colors 18-bit supports landscape and portrait display modes
Integrated WLAN (Wi-Fi) 802.11b, Bluetooth v2.0 with EDR wireless technology
128 MB RAM & 256MB ROM
Integrated Compact Flash type II (CF) and Secure Digital (SDIO) slots
Removable, rechargeable 2200 mAh battery
(H x W x D): 4.96 in. x 2.99 in. x 0.63 in. (126mm x 76mm x 16 mm)
6.6 oz
One year parts and labor in most countries; 90 days technical support for software in most countries. Additional offers may vary per country.
I was all set to buy this thing, until I realized that it doesn't have jog buttons on the left side to navigate up and down. It seems to only have one button and one switch. :-( Here I was ready to have this replace my Axim x51v.
