View posts since last visit

I have long found that if I go to the main Thoughts page first, and use the link there to see posts since my last visit the search works just fine. However if I go directly to the forums and use the link for view posts since last visit more often than not I am told there are not posts, when in fact there are. Anybody know why this is (or have the same experience).

I have also bad experience with that feature, as if it initialized for the present day and hour my last coming values, and so i have no posts to read.
