From the screenshots, it also looks pretty nice. Have any of you tried it?

I tried it; it's pretty. Overkill for me since I use the Spb stuff and a HTC Touch. And it defaults the email to Outlook, which I don't use. If it could have more ability to make modifications, it would be great. As it is, I didn't need it, although I was impressed. It's not as smooth as the iPod Touch or iPhone, though. But pretty close. If I could have done a bit of tweaking on it, I might have stuck with it.

now this seems like it can be a big hit. the site right now looks like there might still be some tweaks being worked on day by day, but for the most part...this seems to be a great program for those of us who dont want to use a stylus everytime we need to make a call or check the weather and such. if it works on the phone side like the 'fun contacts', then im getting this real quick. (but will wait a few weeks to see if there are still any bugs to get worked out.)

website looks great and has alot of pics to see.
great job so far...great find....and..free for now, so jump on it before it gets to big and they have to sell it at $15 a pop.

I actually played with this a week or so ago. I agree that it looks very nice but that is about it. It doesn't offer my anything the HTC Home plugin and touch flow don't already give me. Or Spb Mobile Shell for that matter.

There are no options really. You use it as is. You can actually change what email, media player and phone dialer program it launches by editing the registry. Maybe it will actually be an option in a future version.

Over all it looks very nice and works very well. It is just very limited and doesn't really provie anything new that other apps or built in plugins already provide. It does, however, provide this functionality in a different looking manner. And it is free. ;)

I absolutely agree with the above post. It gives nothing more than the combined power of the latest editions of SPB Mobile Shell and PocketPlus and I believe these are far more customizable.

Well, maybe for you it doesn't. For me and others it offers fast and pretty interface for free. (without looking like Frankenstein's monster thats been built by sewing parts together)

Actually i bought mshell too, but i like this one better. You know, mshell didn't have any customization in the beginning likewise. And the home plugin? Crappy and slow. No customization at all.

From the video, it appears that the left/right swipe is opposite of what it should be. It is set so that if you want to go right, you motion right - but I would think moving right is moving the page right giving you the screen to the left. Anyway, that is what I would consider more intuitive.

I have been using this for 2-3 days and it is really handy. I only have 2 issues.

1. Battery life has been sucked quite fast since I installed and have been using. I have noticed a couple of times that if I hit the power button that a few mins later the screen will come back on.... not sure what is causing this but could be my battery problem.

2. The other issue is with configurability..... it doesn’t really have any yet.

I would say that at first I wasn't too happy with the user interface but it has 95% of what I needed. Great work! It is very smooth.

This program is a very sloppy piece of programming. Uninstalling it through Remove Programs in Settings doesn't work. According to a thread on thier forum you are supposed to use the Update Manager to do the uninstall, but there are many reports that this doesn't work either. Either way the uninstall does not restore the left softkey back to whatever it was on the Today screen. You end up having to hack the registry to clean that up.

Whoever wrote this doesn't appear to have much of a clue as to how things are done in the Windows Mobile world.

yeah i have looked at a few other sites and most complaints are that u cant uninstall easy...glad i didnt put it on yet cuz im clueless on how to do the manual uninstall. i have the file dloaded, but will still wait to see if there are more tweaks in thefollowing weeks before i decide to load it.

I deleted the references to it in the Registry. Hope that got it all, but I'll bet I overlooked something. Anybody got any ideas on how to be sure it's all gone?

HTC's TouchFlo is a similar attempt at a touch based UI - the Touch (phone that is) featured TouchFlo as its selling point. Check out any of the reviews of the Touch, or any of its successors for more info.

I do like this program. Works well on my Cingular 8125. I agree with the other posts on some of the issues, but hope that will be ironed out.

One major issue I found that no one has mentioned,...

I have Jabra BT620s headphones. When listening to music using TCPMP and on the Point UI home,... when I click the speakers at the top of the screen it sets my headphones from stereo to mono out of the left earpiece only. Only way I have been able to figure out how to get them back to stereo is to soft reset the unit. I have done this several times already and it is very annoying.

In addition, I too would like user configurable options. I do not use Windows Media Player, but TCPMP and would like to re-program the music button on the fron page without having to edit the registry.
