Dust Smudge under the HTC Touch screen

Has anyone else had a problem with a dust or smudge mark appearing in the middle of their HTC Touch screen. I bought two of these phones two weeks apart and both of them have the same fault..

Neither phones have been put in cases with magnetic catches etc. How many other people are out there with the same problem, and what is HTC doing about something, which is clearly a design, manufacturing or quality control fault on the part of HTC (I know that neither of my phones have been mistreated) ? :(
