Activesync won't turn on my Ipaq

After years of correct behavior, my Ipaq 2210 stopped turning on and syncing automatically when placed in the cradle. Can anyone please advise me how to resolve this problem? If I push the power button, it begins its sync routine just fine.

I know this has been discussed before in the forums but cannot find a resolution. Has anyone found a solution that worked for them besides a device hard reset? Does anyone know the Ipaq power or Activesync registry entry or program that controls this behavior? Any assistance would be appreciated.

If all you have to do is push the power button, why is it a big deal?

I simply wish to be able to place it on the cradle and it sync. I have a case on it and do not want to have to open the case, press the power button, close the case, and place it on the cradle.

I understand it is not a CRITICAL issue, but many items posted on these forums are not.

Well, have you tried a hard reset?

How long have you waited?

I have the same issue with my 2215. I've found that if I set it in the cradle to charge, often, many minutes later, it turns on and syncs.
