<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://iwindowsmobile.com/mobile-launcher.html' target='_blank'>http://iwindowsmobile.com/mobile-launcher.html</a><br /><br /></div><i>"GoodWin is a next generation Windows Mobile launcher and task switcher for Pocket PC. Slide the screen with finger to scroll the list of favorites and running programs, installed applications, and settings – all on one screen! Whenever you turn on your Pocket PC GoodWin displays all necessary information – new SMS, email, current time, missed calls and more. You can run, uninstall, add or remove them from favorites, switch between running applications. Moreover, it provides instant access to battery charge and phone profiles displayed at the top of the screen. One tap – and you can set your phone to ring, vibration or silent mode."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/martin-20071207-vito_goodwin.gif" /><br /><br />In the continual "iphoneization" of the Pocket PC interface, Vito releases GoodWin. Overall, it seems pretty smooth considering it's a 1.0 release, though I had some problems accidentally triggering a program when I meant to just scroll down the screen. This could just be due to my fat fingers! As a suggestion for us phone-less device users, it would be nice if the Phone-Service and reception bars at the top-right could be given an option to reflect any wifi connection instead and the hotbuttons at the top for SMS and phone could be user-customizable for different applications. Right now, Vito is offering a <a href="http://iwindowsmobile.com/mobile-launcher.html">25% discount on GoodWin</a> for a final price of $14.96. <a href="http://vitotechnology.com/files/GoodWin.exe">Download a demo here</a> and let us know what you think of it.

I tried this last night, in an attempt to make my Touch even more finger friendly. The interface was nice, but I was disappointed by a few things.

First, Vito doesn't appear to have a link for online support. Not even a user forum. So finding answers on your own is going to be nearly impossible.

Second, the interface - while VERY slick - misses a few things I really find important. It's today screen offers some basic 'at a glance' info like battery, time/date, missed messages/mail, and signal strength. But beyond that there is no 'upcoming appointments' list. Nor is there any support for all of the today screen plug-ins that many of us have become addicted to.

I'd give it an 'A' for effort. But for now I'll stick with Spb Mobile Shell and keep a close eye on this product for the future.

Oh...check out their Fun Contacts product. Very nice!

I have also been trying this and so far really like it. I love the automatic lock when turning off the pocket pc and slide to unlock - seems to work really well. It has a nice clean interface but lacks configuration options at the moment. I would also like to see support for upcoming appointments - or even better Today screen plugins.

Hey digger!

Have you noticed that the battery icon seems to take FOREVER to update?

When I turn my phone on the battery icon tends to show 'empty' for a minute or two before refreshing.

Actually I'm starting to think that the battery icon will never update - my device has been on charge almost all day so battery is 100% but the icon shows approx 75-80 and has not changed all day.

I have contacted Vito Technology and let them know about this plus a number of suggestions including upcoming appointments.
