Just got a HP hx4700. I believe that Pocket Informant is already on here.
Question: Has anyone here used both PI and Agenda? Was wondering if it worth the money to get Agenda as opposed to just sticking with PI.
I want to use it for the Usual PIM functions -- contacts, calendar, etc.

I'm a big fan of PI after trying both, but Agenda does have a free trial period if you want to compare for yourself. That may be the only way to answer your question for sure as it seems like it really comes down to personal preference. I will say that both have a steep learning curve to access ALL of the functionality, but the basics are pretty intuitive.

Have fun with the new device. :D

Thanks. That is good advice. I agree. I am still not sure if the PI that came with my PDA is a full version -- meaning not a trial or a edu version.

Trials nowadays usually are the full versions, and are only limited with the time you can use, e.g. 2 weeks, 30 days, etc. When the time period expires, partial to complete functionality of the software ceases, until you purchase a registration key either direct from the seller or via third party like handango or mobihand.

I've tried both PI and AF. Either one is a welcome change from the minimal approach that Microsoft took. I like Pocket Informant better though. I find the user interface easier to navigate and the few unique features in PI more to my liking. Also, Agenda Fusion seemed to be more quirky, like it's using more resources or using them less efficiently or not as well integrated with the OS.

The version that came with the 4700 was a full version, just not an up to date version. The downside of updating is that you can't get rid of the old one so the new PI just takes up more space. The trial will answer your question, see if the new features are better than what you already have, chances are they're minimal but then again are these updates worth paying for?
