Through an intuitive, lush, high-framerate user interface, Zumobi allows people to easily bounce in and out of snack-sized bits information they need throughout the day, and the targeted entertainment they enjoy, while offering advertisers a better way to connect with consumers through their mobile phones. For mobile Web developers, Zumobi delivers an open, device-neutral platform for building and deploying rich content for mobile phones. Zumobi makes it simple and profitable to build and deliver mobile applications – through a single standard for development and deployment and an attractive revenue sharing model."

Over the past year, we've seen a real ramp up of user interface work on mobile devices, from the iPhone to the HTC Touch series and even the LucidTouch concept. Originally discussed here, the ZenZui project will now roll out as a public beta on December 14, 2007 under the name Zumobi and you can sign up for the beta at Zumobi.com. The Zumobi allows the user to set up to 36 individual tiles as sort of mobile shortcuts to favorite content. It should be interesting to see how Zumobi performs as beta users throw their favorite sites at it. Are you anticipating the beta? Of the recent UI projects, which really grabs your interest?
