When using public wifi with my ipaq 5555, I've used the Yahoo Wap site to access email. Recently, it hasn't worked and I get a popup with the following message:

Download 'My Documents/' to the 'My Documents' folder in Main Memory?

It provides cmd buttons with the options of Yes, Change, Cancel.

If I click "Yes", it informs me that the current My Documents folder and its contents will be replaced and do I want to continue?!!

Is this some sort of hoax aimed at wiping out my My Documents folder?

Anyway, I googled Yahoo's Wap url and put it in PIE. It is now asking me:

"Download 'login' to the 'My Documents' folder in Main Memory?"

Anybody know what this is about? Did I pick up something on my ppc?

This has been happening to me for the last year at least... I've resorted to using just the regular mail.yahoo.com to read, and using gmail to post.

Thanks chut7. At least I know I'm not alone. I've basically limited myself to reading messages as well.

So gmail would be a good alternative then?

I also wonder if by buying one of the other ppc browsers I might be able to use these accounts - even upload an attachment?

Thanks again.
