Pocket Player aims to satisfy consumers who demand more from a media player on a mobile device. The new version includes new browsing features, a rewrite of the library system, updates to plugins, and many other fixes."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/parekh-20071017-ConduitsPocketPlayer.png" /><br /><br />Looks like the UI is inspired by the new, touch-oriented iPod/iPhone players. There's also bug fixes, improved library features, better phone and A2DP support, and more. Upgrades for owners since September 2005 are free. A new copy <a href="http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=79548">costs $19.95</a>. [Affiliate]

Wow.

I've been a follower of Conduit's software since my old Casio E-11 PPC. They go quiet for awhile, and then release another slew of breath-taking software.

Guess I'll be heading over to the site for an upgrade.

Hmmm. I might be interested if it supported AAC files.

Thanks for the heads-up! I am downloading the update right now.

Conduits Pocket Player has been my favorite media player for a long time now. It is very customizable, clean, easy to use, and stable.

Conduits provides lots of updates and excellent customer service that can't be beat.

I can't wait to see what the update brings.

I've used PocketPlayer for years - and it's about time they updated the library features. However, I too have started using AAC files more, and PocketPlayer still doesn't do those... yet.

Have been trying this software (currently using CorePlayer). There seems to be a memory leak in the library scan. My memory will very slowly go down and down until my unit crashes. It should also let you choose where to search for music. It was taking an extremely long time searching the live search cache folders on my storage card (about 4000 folders) and eventually crashed. Besides that, I really like it, and want to purchase. Will send them email...

I am currently using the PP3.5 demo and it says AAC in file associations. Does that not work?

I'm not the best with file formats -- I stick to mp3's and their easy all-device compatibility in case I wanna share with friends (although they'd likely have ipods anyway).
