Doing a search on Google UK for the iPAQ 214, I came up with chillblast Express quoting it at £223.66 inc VAT, E-Plenish at £229.67 inc VAT, INKINO at £249.95 (presumably inc VAT), Clove Technology at £299.99 inc VAT, and BT Shop at £240.86 inc VAT.

Availability was from two weeks to 31st October.

<edit>Plus on HP UK http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en/sm/WF05a/21675-21679-21679-21679-297609-80594387.html?jumpid=oc_R1002_UKENC-001_HP%20iPAQ%20214%20Enterprise%20Handheld&lang=en&cc=uk, it's £216 excl VAT (£253.80 inc VAT)

I'm really hoping the 900 series is available the end of October, like Negri indicates. I've been waiting for the Samsung i760 from Verizon for almost a year now, but now that it is SO close to being released, I think I might hold off and go with the iPaq. My only concern is the lack of 3G coverage provided by Cingular in the US, compared to Verizon. On each of my last 3 business trips, I've been in cities covered by Verizon's EVDO network, but Cingular only offered EDGE speeds.

Prices there seem inflated compared to What hp was planning on selling then for directly. last I Saw the 210 was going to go for 399

"HP?s five upcoming ipaq?s are already commonly known - TamsPPC already covered them multiple times before. However, we can now add pricing information, release dates and final product datasheets for Austria?here goes:"

I don't understand why everything is always released out of the US first.

Yeah they are. Not only are the new items prices higher than HP reported will be the MSRP, but their prices are high on even the older products. They're asking nearly $100 more for the HP rx5915 than I paid for mine over a year ago.
