The color scheme has mercifully been changed from the sickly gold shown at CeBIT to a far more tolerable black, but otherwise the specs ring true to what we'd been told to expect: quadband GSM / EDGE plus triband HSDPA, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM, 2 megapixel autofocus cam, VGA display, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD slot and TV out (whew)."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/hisham-20070910-engadgetmobile_i-mate-6150-8150-released.jpg" /><br /><br />Despite some scepticism on whether they really exist (<i>mea culpa</i>), the first two Ultimate models have been launched at Gitex 2007 - welcome to the 6150 and the 8150! No details yet on pricing and shipping is slated for early October, but at least i-Mate's top of the line models <i>are</i> here. To whet your appetite, the following links will lead you to photo reviews of these beasties:<br /><br />•<a href="http://kaz911.blogspot.com/2007/09/gitex-2007-picture-review-of-i-mate.html">Picture Review of 8150</a>, and<br />•<a href="http://kaz911.blogspot.com/2007/09/gitex-2007-picture-show-i-mate-ultimate_08.html">Picture Review of 6150</a>, pictures courtesy of <a href="http://kaz911.blogspot.com">kaz911</a>.<br />•<a href="http://www.ce4arab.com/vb7/showthread.php?t=97064">Picture Review of 6150 and 8150</a> from ce4arab.com (warning: Arabic script, and no, I can't translate it!).<br /><br />As you may have heard, the other three models in the Ultimate range will be released progressively in the coming months, though firm release dates are not available.

I was there in Gitex Shopper and these two devices are not yet available for sale, and still I could not get a confirmation for when this will be released however I might have also a meeting with some top i-Mate officials soon at the convention in the trade center, I am expecting the new i-mate devices very soon. Prices were already announced, the 6150 will cost AED 3,199 ($869) and the 8150 AED 3,350 ($910)

No, no no! You ask the wrong question - it should have been: "Is it me, or does the HP 610 moble messenger have a vague resemblance to the new i-mate Ultimate 8150? just a thought..... :)"

...And, I think those two brands/models have zero in common, although I don't know who will make the HPs.

Sounds like it's going to be Inventec (http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20070912PD208.html).

What's the latest on who will be the carrier in the US?
If unlocked, would they work on A T &amp; T?
Thanks
