hey everyone,

I was wondering if there is a program to easily send your GPS location (quordinates) via SMS/e-mail, like there should be the ability in windows mobile to click Menu > Send GPS location in the e-mail/SMS message.

I know about VITO FindMe http://vitotechnology.com/en/products/findme.html but it doesn't accomplish this and others can find your location without even warning you, its just a bad system they're using. I just want to be able to easily send my location. Thx

I don't think any of these applications on a geocaching site will actually integrate with your SMS, but I think a couple of them might make it easier to copy your current coordinates and paste them into a message.

Hi Extravagant!
I don't think that the principle of our system in VITO FindMe is bad. Those people who send you an sms with your location request need to know what ecactly to write in the sms - nor more nor less - your code word. So, when you're saying everybody can find out where you're without you knowing about it is not absolutely true. Besides, you can always change your code word as many times as you like. Just don't forget to tell the code word to people you want to share your location with.

Why not use Mologogo.com and keep it private or something. Use Accutracking.com, I think they have a windows based program for it. Try Reperion.com, trackmyjourney.com, nav4all.com, loopt.com, gmap.com and some others one that I can't think on top of my head at the moment. Those should be able to send your location, probably not via sms, but more advance.
