Wye Valley, UK, August 9, 2007 – Electric Pocket’s Ringo Mobile, the leading ringtone manager for Pocket PC Phones and Windows Mobile Smartphones, now supports Windows Mobile 6 and includes more options for identifying incoming callers.
Ringo has long been the best selling ringtone manager for Palm’s Treo smartphones, such as the Palm OS-based Treo 755p and the Windows Mobile-based Treo 750w, with features such as playing MP3 tunes as ringtones and assigning ringtones to individual callers or groups of callers.
Among the new features of Ringo Mobile is the ability to quickly and easily associate a picture or other graphic to appear when incoming calls arrive. Pictures enable Ringo Mobile users to identify a caller with a quick glance, even when the phone is set in vibrate mode.
metimes when the phone rings, cell phone users are too busy or preoccupied to take calls from anybody other than close friends and family members — those that warrant inclusion in their phone’s Address Book. To help screen for unknown callers, Ringo Mobile now allows users to set specific ringtones and SMS tones for any caller not listed in the Address Book or, as an alternative, set the tone to Silent Mode when unknown calls arrive.
“Ringo Mobile users love their Smartphones enough to want to personalize them with their own favorite ringtones and MP3s, but what makes this capability even better is when you can use those tones or pictures as a cool form of caller ID,” said Iain Barclay, Electric Pocket’s Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer. “The ability to recognize a caller with a MP3 or a glance at a picture on the screen is much nicer than trying to figure out who the caller is by the number displayed on the screen.”
Ringo Mobile is available from the Ringo web site at ringomo.com for US$24.95.
