Hi there to everyone, am new to this site, well the problem i hav goes like dis,
I hav an I-mate K-Jam, once I installed Winamp in it and without removing it I simply deleted it. Now the problem is all mp3 format files r in unknown format and do not run in Media Player also I cannot set them as ringtone. So Plz Plz PLz helpme.

Thnx in advancere-install and then uninstall correctly to get rid of the broken file associations

I have already done dat but nothing happensok. the we can try two things...
Use TCPMP to re-associate the file type with it and then uninstall which should again reset the file association.

or

find the keys involved and edit the registry.

Thnx for replying but the problem is I am not dat tech savy, so I don know how to edit the registry thats the only reason I post it here

You'll need to get a registry editor. I use either PHM (http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/) or Tascal (http://www2r.biglobe.ne.jp/~tascal/download/pocketpc/tre_e.htm) depending on need, though I think Resco Explorer (http://software.pocketpcthoughts.com/product.asp?id=192) includes a more up to date editor (it's commercial though).

Thnx for all Ur support Brother, I downloaded Resco Explorer, now everything is fine I found the option for open with and all files are opening in a single click.
