I thinking but upgrading but nothing has really caught my attention. I don't need a keyboard, I prefer to use the stylus. Current processor speed is 624mHZ and I haven't seen anything faster on the market just yet. I prefer to have a separate cell phone and don't want a smaller screen as I do a lot of reading and use my PDA for a lot of reference during the day. Has anyone upgraded yet?

Hi!
I think X51v is still one of the top PPCs. Better than it... perhaps Fujitsu-Siemens RPDA N560e (http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=681)?
But the specs doesn't seem to justfy a change.
Perhaps the PPC phone editions? The brand new (and expensive) O2 XDA Flame? Or HTC Advantage?
Better than that, I think there are only UMPCs.

I haven't. Like you, I've found nothing else that surpasses my X51v. The only thing even in contention to my mind would be the i-mate Ultimates that are coming out later this year, specifically the Ultimate 7150, but even then there's the loss of dual slots, the loss of the video processor, etcetera.

If you want a separate cellphone, then why bother upgrading at all. You will most likely be down grading. The truth of the matter is that for the most part the PPC is dead. Dell discontinued their line. Asus, Acer, HP, & there may be more but those are the only companies that I know of that have manufactures recent devices. Most likely the next device that you buy will a the phone function like it or not.

I agree with everyone here. I recently 'upgraded' but to a phone enabled device. I still have my iPAQ hx2795, and its processor at 624mhz is hard to beat, but I got tired of carrying a separate cell phone. If you indeed prefer a separate cell phone, you will probably not beat the Axim.

A friend of mine just got an HTC 4300 smartphone on Cellularone. I have an Axim X50V which I like a lot. However, I can only get internet access via wifi. And my cellphone is a three year old Nokia 6560 which is ready to be replaced.
