View Full Version : Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard - Not so universal?

Hey all,

I picked up a Palm-branded universal wireless (IR) keyboard for cheap and I figured since it has drivers for the treo 700W which runs wm5, I shouldn't have any problems getting it to work on my HTC Prophet, also running WM5...

I installed the driver with no problems, but with the keyboard driver enabled, nothing is really happening when I press the keyboard keys.

I've tried all sorts of configs and setups to no avail...

So I wanted to check with those out there whether they've successfully used the palm IR universal keyboard on other WM devices.

Any anecdotes/advice?

TIA!

Well i just tried the keyboard on my old ipaq 4150 and it works! so maybe there's something incompatible with wm5? i find that strange since the treo 700w runs wm5...

I'm still interested to hear if anyone else has gotten this keyboard to work with a relatively current gen wm5 device...

Thanks!

I use one with my iPAQ hx2795 (wm5). I actually prefer this keyboard over the Bluetooth model from HP.

Damn.. Looks like the wm5 support is limited to ipaqs... Anyone on here gotten this keyboard to work with non-hp ipaq devices?

I am at work right now, but when I get home I am going to try it with my Cingular 8525. I'll let you know what happens.
