Hint about release date for the i760

I've been pestering a lot of Verizon phone stores in the area, asking if the i760 is available yet. I finally found someone who at least had heard of the 760. He said it would probably be out mid-July.

Update: Say July 20 - August 10. But things could slip again.

I've been following the 760 rumor/release thread on padphonehome.com. The latest word is that the i760 will be released during the first or second week of September.

Of course, there has been no shortage of expected release dates: Q2, June, mid-July, August 15, September 3, October. One rule I learned when I was in the Navy: "Everything is subject to 'Vice Previous Word.'"

A buddy of mine who works at Verizon told me they just had a meeting yesterday (9/20) about what's up-and-coming said the 760 will be available next week (last week of September/07) and the Palm 750 will be available the next quarter, which means late this year or early next year. I'll have my fingers and toes crossed!
