WM6 Rom upgrade for my device?

Hello. I'm still new to the whole pocket pc scene, and I am not sure about ROM/OS upgrades. I think you have to go straight through microsoft, correct? Anyhow, I am using an iPAQ hx2495b and was wondering if they would have a ROM/OS upgrade to WM6; or am I going to have to buy a brand new Pocket PC with the said OS in order to get it?

No, I don't believe you have to go through Microsoft. You actually want to go to HPs site and they have a list of the models that they have Rom flash updates to go to WM6.

And to add to LegacyHH's comments, HP has not issued any WM6 upgrades for the hx2000 series, and it's uncertain if they will do so in the future.
