I've just started using Windows Live (10.6....) on my phone (wizard running WM6). You have to sync the live contacts with the phone's contacts list or you can't use messenger, and that's fine with me, I tend to use my phone as the definitive source of my contacts and loading my Live contacts seems like a good idea.
I recently added someone to my live contacts, they synced to my phone, I added a few details and then used active-sync to my PC. The contact doesn't appear on outlook contacts. It's not a huge deal, but I'd rather not have to reenter the contact details, and I'd still like to be able to get at them on my desktop.
I selected "merge duplicates with outlook" but that doesn't seem to help.
Any thoughts on how I can get the contacts on to my PC?
I'm not sure if it's related but when I choose "sync" on the Live app my contacts sync OK, but my personal settings don't.
One final thing, the PC I'm using cannot sync directly with Live as it's behind a firewall that blocks Live.
