Anyone have opinions on the most usable home page? I have an 8525.

I'm looking for a great pocket PC browser home page where you can see local weather, news headlines, business headlines, stock/market info, sports, local movie times, a search bar, and maybe email visibility. Ideally, it will have customizable/moveable "modules".

Thanks!

Thanks! With the limited screen real estate, and expensive cellular connectivity...A "my Yahoo!" like page might not be best.
You'll end up with a page that is difficult to navigate and cost a lot as you'd look to refer to it often.

I'd suggest using RSS readers and Weather/ stock polling apps...to obtain and store the data on the device. This way you have access to it even without a data connection.

thanks for the feedback cybrid, but i have an unlimited dara plan & am usually in 3g coverage area. so loading quickly & page size should not be an issue.

any other good home page suggestions?

First check that your plan is unlimited. :)
Telus' "unlimited " plan is capped @ 250Mb. As a former bill collector, I have seen one instance of a "unlimited " plan costing $1000's . Call your providers data CS and ask what your cap is.

If you are happy with it...you could create your own or try the My Yahoo!

What I do is make www.skweezer.net my home page. It has a fair amount of portals listed on the site itself, and it makes almost any page anywhere - whether set up for mobile devices or not - much easier to read.

I use the mobile version of Google as my homepage.

It gives me everything I need with personalized options.

I just did a little research on Yahoo! Go 2.0 Gamma. This actually looks pretty sweet....simple interface, one home page/portal for yahoo! mail, customized weather, news, sports, finance, movies, tech info......and it has a new feature called "one search" which is supposed to be less clicks to find info you want and more intuitive, as well as a direct link to Flickr for posting/sharing your photos. Seem's like this would be amazing.....

But alas, it's not quite available on the 8525 yet. Yahoo says "coming soon". Who knows if that means next week, next month, or next year. Anybody have insight as to when Yahoo! Go 2.0 Gamma will be available for PDA smartphones?
