i've been having problems with the mic on my vx6600 and verizon agreed to upgrade to the vx6700 that has a mini sd card slot.

i ordered a 4 gb mini sd hc class 2 card from The Memory Place and much to my suprise a salesperson called me the next day to confirm that the card would work in my device. he said this is a new card format that isnt supported by typical mini sd devices and he didnt think it would work with the vx6700 (talk about sales service!)

so what do people think. is the 6700 card slot limited to 2gb mini sd cards? i'd like the get the largest i can....

thanks

I would say no, the vx6600 is not limited to 2G, but it does not support SDHC (AFAIK). That is a new and different format as the rep indicated. Are there standard miniSD in 4G? I don't know. There certainly are standard and HC SD cards at 4G and the HC variety do reguire a device that supports them.

Sven is right: you can use 4 GB regular MiniSD cards, but SDHC won't work.
