I have a client that wants to employ a theft tracking applet for an upcoming project. Their previous experience is with CompuTrace but the only offerings they have are laptop/desktop.

Thanks in advance...

The only types of system like that I'm aware of are like Ultimate Theft Alert, but they're built for Phone Editions. They're configured so that if an unauthorized user tries to dial the phone or access the data, the device is locked. I seem to recall a similiar one (PDAKill) that allows you to send a special SMS to a stolen phone which performs a hard reset and deletes any storage card info.

Go to MobiHand or Handango and search for the two terms "security" and "sms."
