Happily for those of us well west of zero degrees longitude, the M700 packs quadband GSM plus EDGE; we suspect no American carriers will be picking it up directly, but as the FCC will happily vouch, it'll be a trivial matter to get it imported."

While FCC approval doesn't necessarily equate with a pending release by an American carrier, it's a point that shouldn't be ruled out either. E-TEN's Glofiish M700 packs some punch with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE. No 3G or VGA screen, unfortunately. That's the stuff the (soon to be released) X800 and the rumoured M900 are made of.

Upcoming? I've been using mine for a week now and am loving it.

(Well, except for the camera -- decent outdoor pics, but slow to respond)

Glad to see the FCC has approved it and I am no longer "illegal"
