Cingular 8525 Contacts

Hello all,
I am a new WM user coming from old Palmville. I am hoping someone with a question on the Contacts. I have noticed on a few occasions that when I use the thumb wheel to scroll through my contacts that sometimes a large letter appears that I can scroll down the alphabet faster. Unfortunately I have no idea how to do that intentionally. I have looked through the meager documentation that came with the unit and conducted a number of Google searches. Any insight would be helpful.

it is a faster way to scroll to the contact section you want.... If you roll the wheel fast enough or hold the down arrow of navigation control down, it will scroll through alphabet to letter you want. When you stop rolling wheel on letter, it will bring up contacts starting w/ that letter.

Thanks. That did the trick. I still can't get it to do it consistently with the wheel but the nav keys work great.
