HandyMed is proud to announce the arrival of HandyCards v5.3 on Windows Mobile v5 handhelds. HandyCards is an elegant flashcard solution designed to optimize learning any subject on the go. Finally, capitalize on those lost minutes while waiting in line at the grocery store, while riding a cab downtown, and while riding the bus home from school. Whether you are reviewing French-English flashcards for undergraduate French class, studying images of human anatomy in medical school, learning to associate composers and their work by listening to song fragments for your undergraduate symphony class, or studying poker combinations for that upcoming trip to Las Vegas, HandyCards can do it all. A free trial version of HandyCards is available here: http://www.HandyMed.com/HandyCards.
In addition to simple question-answer, true-false, and multiple choice testing, HandyCards supports advanced testing methods designed to make your learning experience more efficient and save time in the long run. HandyCards can help you focus on those subjects which you don't know as well to refine your study sessions using any of the six algorithms, such as Leitner sorting, known to improve testing results. Also, track your testing progress using the built-in testing statistics and export testing session results to monitor your progress. The full feature list can be viewed here: http://www.handymed.com/HandyCards/index.htm#Features
While HandyCards focuses on learning on the go, you may want to test on a desktop or laptop computer. That's why HandyMed has partnered with OpenWindow, makers of the full-featured desktop testing solution WinFlash Educator, to provide seamless integration between desktop and handheld testing. Also, if friends have HandyCards running on their Palm, data files can be shared between devices to allow a group learning effort on studying material for the same class.
Updated features in this version not only include support of Windows Mobile v5 devices, but also adds significant improvements in program performance. For instance, opening data files now is 3-5x faster, depending on file content. Font and color support is improved with an improved font dialog and a broader color palette.
