I want to buy a xv6700. It would be my first smartphone/pocket pc and i would like to know if i have to buy the service from verizon that allows me to use the internet on the phone everywhere. Because i only wanna use the phone at hotspots to check the internet there. So i guess what im asking is will verizon charge me to use wifi at my house. If i have a router there.

THANKS

Carriers can't charge you for using WiFi because it has nothing to do with their service. It's like asking whether they will charge you if you install programs on the 6700 - they won't. However, you should be careful not to accidentally use the cellular data connection instead of WiFi and start incurring data charges there.
