Help with Office 2007?

Good Evening everyone,

I'm new to my iPAQ rx 1955 (today). I think its great, but I've hit a snag. It doesn't recognize any of the documents that I've created in Word or Excel 2007. Has anyone else had this issue, or do you know if there is a fix for this?

Thanks in advance-- since I'm new to Pocket PCing, I'm sure there will be other questions :)

Welcome to Pocket PC Thoughts.

Office 2007 uses the new XML formats (.docx and .xlsx) as a default, and unfortunately, these aren't recognised by Office Mobile. What you should do is save in the backward-compatible .doc and .xls formats, and then copy them over to your Pocket PC.

I found a website that explained how to set up 2007 Word/Excel to automatically save the files Office 97-2003 docs. I was so worried, cause I bought this to help me out at school (thirty-something and going back...) I thought I wasn't going to be able to transfer documents and notes and such.
