I just got a new ipaq5450 from a friend but he never use that one except the demo at the time he got it. However, it was three years ago. Now, when i want to power it up, i have no way to do it. I change the battery already but still doesn't work. When i charge it, it is just like a dead one, no LED flash,no response, nothing.Could any one tell me what could happen to it and what i shoud do??
By the way, how long should i charge this ipaq?2days or 3days or more?
Thanks a lot!!

Hi Mike, welcome to PPCT!
Have you tried doing a hard reset? Sometimes that's required after the battery's gone dead for a while. Instructions on how to do this should be in the manual (if you don't have it, try searching HP's website for it).

Mike,
Suggest you try the following.
Connect your unit to the charger and switch on the power at the power point. After a few minutes try turning the unit on. If it wont switch on do a soft reset and then try to switch it on again. If this does not work leave your device (5450) conected to the power and try the above say every few hours ( say every 4 hours). It could take several days before the unit comes to life. I had a similar problem with my 5550 after it had been dormant for a considerable time. Both the main battery and the internal back up battery were flat. Using the above procedure it took about three
days for the unit to wake up and spring into life.
Good luck and let me know how you go.
