Since we're approaching the weekend, you might be planning on changing a channel or two while catching up on the games, movies, etc. If you use an application on your mobile device to do it, what's your favorite? Any remote stories you'd like to share, like changing the channel on the airport TV?

.......................
Update poll for more options. Thanks to JonnoB for listing some more.

This poll may skew public perception/reality. There are many more options available that have arguably more market share than the selections presented.

NEVO Remote which is built into the iPaq 3900 and 2200 series is my favorite.

Not counting Media controllers for your PC, what did you have in mind? I'm not aware of any that have more "market share".
p.s. What did you vote for? :)

Here is 8 more to bring your 4 listed to 12 choices:
Nevo Remote (as previously mentioned as included in HP line of PDAs - I am certain has the largest market share)
PDAWin's TV Remote (CCF file supported and has been popular)
Ultramote
UniversalRemoteCE
Griffen Total Remote
AIR Universal Remote Control
URC
Proximis NetRemote (does IR along with WiFi)
p.s. What did you vote for? :)
I voted for "Other"

I looked for Griffin last night be it appears that they are no longer selling it. The links I found are dead and Griffin Technologies webpage now just focuses on media player accessories. Thanks for the other links.

The problem Griffin always had was that they depended on an IR transmitter by using the audio port... and well, as most are aware, the audio port went from the 3.5 to a 2.5mm port and some are now just integrated into the miniUSB port. Still, alot of people use that solution because it also works in iPods. My personally like the Nevo that comes on my old HP 221x device and likely has the largest install base. I also liked the PDAwin TV Remote as it supported CCF files with huge customizable databases in the public for the Philips Pronto devices. I now have a TI Omap device and am waiting for either Novii or one of the other guys to build a nice UI like the Nevo or better yet, like the PDAWin product with CCF support. Neither of the better IR software apps (IMO) support the TI OMAP - AFAIK.
