Hi,

Is Motorola Q (Sprint Moto Q) a smart phone or a pocket PC running Windows Mobile OS 5.0

If a device have Windows Mobile 5.0 OS than how do I determine if it can download applications designed for Pocket PC .

Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

thanks
Alina

Simple test - if it has a touchscreen it's WM5 Pocket PC, if it doesn't it's WM5 Smartphone.

Simple test - if it has a touchscreen it's WM5 Pocket PC, if it doesn't it's WM5 Smartphone.

The only exception to that rule is the OKWAP K728 Smartphone, which has OEM-based support for a touchscreen.

Most websites which offer applications for download will state whether their installation file is compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0-based Pocket PCs, Smartphones, or both (in the case of a unified installer). So in the case of the Moto Q, you'll want to grab the Smartphone version.
