I haven't found a straight answer on this... Pro allows you to do this. Yes? I'm pretty sure the Smartphone version only allows edits.

I assume you're referring to Office Mobile? If so, then yes, with the exception of PowerPoint Mobile (which is a viewer), you can create files in Windows Mobile 6 Professional. Standard only allows edits.

However, you can copy over a blank Word and/or Excel file to your SP, open it. Save As a different name, and edit. esentially creating a new document. Mike Temporal did a nice tutorial over at SP Thoughts.
