I've gone through several generations of FlexWallet. I originally purchased it because it worked with my Pocket PC and my desktop PC. I've been very happy with it and even recommended it to others.

Now, I'm thinking about upgrading. Since iambic boughtout TwoPeaks, it seems the desktop version is no longer available. Worse yet, there is no practical way to ask. The company seems to have developed a web site that very carefully avoids public contact. There are several sections where you can try to find information on your own or maybe ask their "community" but there is no direct way to contact the company. No phone number and no e-mail. There is a postal address but I'm in the mood to spend money - NOW!

So, tell me. If I buy the current version of FlexWallet, can I get a desktop version that is compatible? And what kind of support will I get in the future?

To the rest of the Pocket PC Thoughts readers, what is your opinion?

As to my opinion about there being no way to contact the developer, something like that would make me think twice about purchasing one of their products, but you don't have to worry about that. According to the iambic, Inc. website (http://www.iambic.com/twopeaks/),

Two Peaks Software Solutions has been acquired by iambic, Inc. In particular, all software titles (with the exception of FlexWallet, which was acquired by WebIS, Inc. in January 2006)...

A desktop version of FlexWallet is available over at WebIS FlexWallet Download Page (http://www.pocketinformant.com/products_info.php?p_id=wallet&dir=wm&tab_id=download).

....and further to that , IIRC, you get a code from WebIs for "their" version (= "free update")

Thank you for the information.

What I said about iambic still stands though. They have hidden their identity very well and make it very difficult to contact them.

Well, actually I'm afraid that is just wrong. You seem to have a big problem with a company that never owned your program (WebIs purchased it before Twopeaks sold the rest of their stuff to iambic) FWIW It took me one minute max to find out how to lodge a support ticket (email) to either iambic's customer service, tech support or sales.

Anyway, probably worked out well that you couldn't find the information you needed under "contact us" as you would have been just wasting your time -it has already been pointed out, WebIs now owns Flexwallet.
