<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=bluemusic' target='_blank'>http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?...ction=bluemusic</a><br /><br /></div><i>"BlueMusic is a software that will allow you to listen to music played on your WM2005 PocketPC or Smartphone with your Bluetooth headsets. It's now easy to listen to your MP3s and many other audio formats, wherever you are with your Wireless Bluetooth Headset. It's even easier to use BlueMusic together with Skype, or other VoIP software."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.teksoftco.com/products/snapshots/files/bluemusic_screen_v1.5_01.jpg" /><br /><br />Though I have a Bluetooth-capable device, I don't have a headset to try this out. But, not having to mess with wires is a real plus! With version 1.0.510, of the the biggest listed improvements is that it's no longer necessary to <i>press the Headset main button anymore, just pair the headset with your device, and press the Start button in the BlueMusic interface. The audio gets instantly redirected to the Bluetooth headset</i>. Anyone tried this out yet?

What if my device (K-Jam / HTC Wizard) doesn't support A2DP? Will this still work? I bought bluetooth enabled headphones a year ago, then was really angry when I couldn't use them.

Sorry, but I'm not sure. You might check with support or post the question in their forums (http://www.teksoftco.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3&amp;sid=93bf13a3bb5341d3f6810e648f737033).

I'm not sure I get the purpose of this software if it requires a2dp support. If your device already has a2dp, then you dont need this. Is this program supposed to provide a2dp capability for devices that do not support the a2dp profile?

With A2DP profile, you can use a real BT Stereo headset, this programe alows you to use a standard phone headset, for listening to your music in mono.

It also alow you to use a standard phone headset for Skype and other VoIP variations, on a WiFi equiped PPC(PE), wher you would normally use a cabled headset/build in speaker for sound in, and the build in mic, for sound out.

Just to bad it's WM5 only :(

Well I just found this for v 1.0.3 so I would guess 1.0.5 would not bemuch different -

Here is a list of supported (already tested) devices:

HTC Prophet (Qtek S200, i-mate JAMin, XDA Neo, T-Mobile MDA compact, Dopod 818 Pro, SPV M600)
HTC Wizard (Qtek 9100, I-mate K-Jam, T-mobile MDA Vario, Orange SPV M6000, O2 XDA Mini Pro, Dopod 838)
HTC Hermes/Tytn (Qtek 9600, i-mate Jas Jam, MDA Vario II, i-mate JASJAM, o2 XDA Trion, Dopod 838 Pro, Cingular 8525, dopod CHT 9000, SPV M3100, Vodafone v1605)
HTC Universal (Qtek 9000, i-mate JASJAR, O2 Xda Exec, T-Mobile MDA PRO, Orange M5000, Vodafone VDA IV, Dopod 900)
HTC Hertz (Dopod 577w, i-mate SP5, O2 XDA IQ (UK), O2 XDA Orion (Asia), Qtek 8310, Vodafone V1240 (UK), Vodafone VDA II (DE))
HTC Tornado (Qtek 8300, O2 Orion, T-Mobile SDA, i-Mate SP5m, Orange C600, Cingular 2125)
HTC Startrek (i-Mate Smartflip, Qtek 8500, Dopod s300, Cingular 3125, SPV F600)

I am going to try this as it looks to be exactly the fix for one of my questions I posted in the HTC section of the forums.

Now if i can only find out about normalizing the audio :/

I've been using a freeware program called BTAudio with my HTC Wizard for a number of months now, with no problems.

There's no Today plugin for it, and when you hang up a call, it needs to be manually reconnected, but other than that, it's pretty good. I wouldn't recommend it for music, but since I'm usually listening to podcasts, I don't mind the mono sound.

It works great with all my normal usage, including Skype, TCPMP and Resco Audio Recorder. I don't use MS Voice Command, but it does work with Voice Dialing.

It's also freeware, and only takes up about 13kb as opposed to almost 300kb for BlueMusic.

Link: BTAudio (http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/samsung-i730-i830-i830w/54951-utility-redirect-all-audio-bluetooth-headset.html?perpage=20&amp;pagenumber=1)

Might be worth trying this first, as the sound quality is comparable, and there's no 40 second limit.[/url]

I've been using a freeware program called BTAudio with my HTC Wizard for a number of months now, with no problems.

Thanks for the tip, I've downloaded the program you've mentioned just to see it only contains several cryptic exe files. Usually I don' trust such programs, but since you said it was fine, I gave it a try. Big mistake: After I copied the 3 exe files on my device (Eten m600+), and tapped the first one, my device rebooted, and after the reset cycle went directly to FACTORY RESET!!!

So because of this BTAudio I lost all my contacts and all my apointments that I really needed for that week!!!

Anyway, as I have a GPS receiver that I use with TomTom in my car, I needed a solution to have the sound in my car's speakers via Bluetooth.
So I went for BlueMusic. I disabled the today plugin, and I'm using the interface with the beating speaker. Works great, no issues up to now.

IMHO, those 300KB must have done their job, I wouldn't go again for that cryptic BTAudio that made my device go to Hard RESET!!!

therion,

Sorry to hear about the problems with BTAudio. Although the author made it for the Samsung i730, people with a variety of other WM5 devices have reported success just by running the main exe as a toggle, and I've personally never encountered any kind of problem with it.

Honestly for me it's enough that it happened once. What can I say, at least for BlueMusic I know that I can contact their support for similar issues, but for BTAudio I have no guarantees. The price of freeware I guess...
