Windows Vista transfers to ipaq4700 painfully slow

I have windows vista, the latest wmdc, and an ipaq 4700. Seems transfers to the ipaq are painfully slow... i dont remember it being this slow on xp.

For example, transferring a 30mb video is estimated at ~20mins. That's... dumb. Needless to say, "shuffling" my 1gb sd card using wmp11 is basically suicide.

Anyone experiencing this or have any ideas on how to fix it?

About the only advice I can give is for large file transfers, an investment in a card reader would pay dividends - it is soooo much faster.
