Hello, new here :)
I now have a N73 from nokia which is a s60 3rd (OS 9.1) smartphone.
It has a 210MHZ CPU, Its has 3MP camera and all, but I want a real good phone for gaming, and than I got intrested in some Pocket PC phones, I even saw one which isnt a phone but has 3D accelration o0 (x50).

I don't really know much about pocket PC, and I wanna ask you for advice what phone to get which has the best gaming opportunity, All pocket pc's has software so I don't worry about the non gaming stuff, and I really can't care less for GPS :O Lets just say if there was a ringing PSP ill get it.

So is there phones with reasonables prices that I get with price of 400$+ (same as my n73 so ill know i can hope for trading with anyone..).

The second thing I want in a phone is a nice camera and mayb loud speakers.

So can you help me by recommanding some and telling me or pointing me to their full specs?

thanks ahead I hope you got me :)

Pocket PC Phone Editions are generally pretty weak right now for gaming, most having slow processors, no 3D acceleration, etc. You'll probably want to wait for O2's upcoming XDA Flame (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,52548), which is a 3G phone, VGA screen, NVIDIA 3d accelerator, massive ROM, HD surround sound, and some other stuff. The final specs may/may not deviate a little though. Then again, you said you wanted something around the $400 range and that's probably going to go way over, unless you happen to get one with some 2-3 year contract with a carrier.

But before you go the PPC route, what sort of games are you looking to play exactly? Most PPCs' D-pads/buttons aren't really so great when it comes to games. In fact, they're actually pretty bad in my opinion. 8) I'd still go with the PSP route if you're a hardcore gamer, unless you're into emulation or like the current selection of PPC game titles. On the gaming side I mainly use my PPC as a game console emulator.

The selection of games on the PPC is limited, mostly diverting or temporarily amusing, but rarely with lasting appeal.

For mobile gaming the Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, or Nintendo GBA Micro are all excellent choices, with a lot of games to choose from.

Yea I heard about flame, It gonna have some good games :),
I guess pocket PC gaming wont be better than the new n-gage generation :( (If you heard about it...).

I just saw the pocket PC x50 from dell runing a great looking first person shooter but it isnt a phone, and I didnt find any good pocket PC phone games for now, but they are powerfull so I tought they'll have in the future.

Sure they'll have a future as technology progresses, and as soon as companies realize that not only business executives use PDAs  . I personally think emulation to be one of the pinnacles of PPC gaming. I'm aware that they have a Quake 3 port for PPC, as well as PlayStation emulation, SNES, etc. There's also DOSBox and PocketDOS, which bring back old memories too. My advice to you would be to research on the games you want to play and see if the PPC supports them. Actually, if you're unsure of what you want, then I invite you to check out these websites:

http://www.clickgamer.com
http://www.pocketgamer.org/homeindex.php

They have comprehensive listings of many games available. If you like them and are willing to buy them, then you may still want to go the PPC route.

Q3A doens't run on WM5 devices with 64M RAM and is pretty useless otherwise; see my related articles (use the forum search engine and look for my posts with '2700g' in them).

However, there indeed are some (not much, unfortunately) very cool 2700G-enabled games out there.
