Presented in ITU communication show in Hong Kong, the KC1 support the WiMAX connection, has a big 2.8" QVGA touch screen, 2 megapixel camera and microSD slot."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/ekkie_lg_chocolate_200612.jpg" /><br /><br />I love the idea of having a Pocket PC OS in a Smartphone-type of form factor. That said, my fingers are feeling cramped just looking at the number pad and the surface looks like a fingerprint magnet. Currently, this new incarnation will be available in Korea with no word exactly on when (or if) this will reach the rest of the world. Thoughts?

If Verizon (cdma) supports this, I'd go for it.

It looks pretty cool. The directional pad looks like a pain, and it's probably pretty thick, but I'm with you - let's get more Pocket PCs that look like smartphones rather than PDAs.

i like the idea that its 2.8" screen instead of 2.4 which is more common with keypad based phones, but would like it better with a keyboard like the Benq P50..

I also prefer this setup. My wife hates using my Cingular brand 8125 virtual keypad to make phone calls since there are many times the touches do not register or it lags.

To my knowledg the LG Chocolate does no have a touch screen. So does that mean that every thing will have to be acomplished throught that akward looking pad. I don't know about this one guys.....................

Other Chocolates might not have touch screens, but this particular one does (note, it's a Pocket PC, and there's a stylus located in the bottom right of the device); otherwise, it'd make more sense to put on the Smartphone version of Windows Mobile.

Nice! Your the man Darius. Good observation. I'll research a little more before I start making comments. Thanks for the info though. Now only if I could get Sprint PCS to come out with a 3.5" &lt; , I will switch back faster than I could do an ingnorant post. :)

So totally disinterested that I can't put it into words.
